Once you have created an account with active.com and registered, you should be all set.

WHAT DOES MY REGISTRATION FEE COVER?
Your 5K Race registration fee covers; your race entry which includes your timing bib, tech-shirt, entry to the Sarasota Celtic Music Festival, 1 beer ticket (21 & Up) and goodie bag. 5K registrants that finish in the top 3 will also receive a finisher’s medal. Walkers receive their T-Shirt and admission to hang out and listen to Friday night bands.

WHERE CAN WE PARK FOR THE EVENT?
Yes, Nathan Benderson Park will have designated area for Braveheart Kilt participants-you will be guided by NBP to park on the island in the large grass field. You will be arriving before regular festival goers, thus parking included.
WHERE DOES THE RACE START AND FINISH?
Race will start right outside festival and will end inside the festival behind stage. You will be piped in & out by bagpiper, Jersey Rob!
WHAT ARE THE EVENT START TIMES?
The 5K will start at 5:30PM
The 1 Mile Fun Run will start immediately following the start of the 5K.
WHAT IS NOT ALLOWED ON THE COURSE?
Pets and strollers/wagons will be allowed on the 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run Course-on the right hand side only.
IS THERE A “BAG CHECK” AVAILABLE?
We suggest just leaving personal items in your car or having a family member hold that is not participating in Braveheart Festivities.
DOES THE EVENT HAVE HEADPHONE POLICY?
You can wear headphones but be aware of your surroundings and safety first.
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE ON RACE MORNING?
Please try to arrive at the race site no later than 5:15pm for the 5K (the early the better!). We encourage you to come at least an 30 minutes early to ensure you have plenty of time to park, stretch & hydrate. There will be bib assignments at registration table.
IS THERE A TIME LIMIT FOR EACH EVENT?
Awards will begin at 6:45pm after race.
5K – The road needs to be reopened by 10:30AM. Anyone still running after this time will not have their time recorded.
WHERE WILL THE WATER STATIONS, MEDICAL AID STATIONS AND PORT-O LETS BE LOCATED ON THE COURSE?
Water available at turn around & finish line.
There are pot-o-potties & bathrooms on the first floor of the Nathan Benderson Tower. There will be EMT's on site to address medical emergency issues.
HOW MANY WATER STATIONS WILL BE ON THE COURSE?
There is one water stations along the course providing water at the turnaround of the 1 Mile Fun Run. Feel free to grab a water at the start or finish.
IS CHIP TIME OR GUN TIME USED TO DETERMINE AWARDS?
Chip timing will be provided by Fitniche, Inc. They coordinate multiple races around Florida and we are thrilled to have their expertise on site! They will be clocking finisher’s as they cross the finish line to provide fast, accurate results.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH MY TIME AFTER THE RACE?
This will be a fun & still a competitive run- we want to ensure you have a great experience. If you feel, you have an issue with your time, please head to the registration area on site. A race coordinator and a representative from Fitniche Inc., will look into the issue.

Age groups for the Half Marathon are as follows:

WHEN AND WHERE ARE THE AWARDS CEREMONIES?
5K awards will begin at 10:30am or between 10:15-10:30 on the main stage behind the finish line.
ARE PETS AND KIDS STROLLERS ALLOWED ON THE COURSE?
Pets and Strollers will be allowed on the Braveheart 5K Kilt Run and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk right hand side of the course only!
IS THIS EVENT RAISING MONEY FOR A CHARITY?
Sure is! We’re raising money for the New World Celts Society. New World Celts, Sarasota provides a forum for the exchange and promotion of cultural information between the Celtic Associations of the New World; To act as liaison for coordination of and assistance to these Organizations.
You need your Kilt wearing, Highland Ale drinking, Meat Pie nibbling, must have a new trinket, bagpipe rock fix of course! Come join us at Nathan Benderson Park! Rest assured however, that all proceeds fund grants for area Celtic non-profit organizations, college scholarships open to Celtic descendants, and education scholarships for students of Celtic Arts.
HOW DO I DONATE TO THIS CHARITY?
During online registrations, you will have the option to give to this celtic cultural charity. You can certainly enter any amount you’d like and or as you finish into the festival-just go spend money with the vendors and take in some great music.
